15 days trekking between twin peaks in western Mongolia

A wonderful trekking through alpine scenery of the snow leopard home in the far western Mongolia. In a remote corner of Mongolia, the two magnificent peaks of snow-capped mountains Turgen and Kharkhiraa are rising with its soaring ice cliffs. The plateau in the west in the mountains of Kharkhiraa and Turgen are preferred locations for fanatical trekkers and hikers. Our trekking paths lead you through picturesque countryside. This adventurous trek takes us into the rarely visited region between the two peaks, where we see glaciers and wonderful rushing rivers. In these regions, you will explore the diversity of a stunning landscape. We walk through narrow gorges, river valleys, mountains, hills, grasslands, forests and rolling meadows and discover beautiful mountains, lakes, and unforgettable sunset. On our journey through this wild landscape, we meet nomadic families with their large herds, allow us some insight to throw in a family where people are just as curious about us than we of them. Our journey does not forget the culture and history of Mongolia. You will see man stone’s as a witness to a proud nation. Even the everyday life of nomads and the suddenly way crossing wild animals make your trip more interesting. The West Altai is anyway the habitat of rare species like snow leopard, argali sheep and ibex.
